Monday - Friday

Cost for Replacing
Lost or Damaged Books

Paperback book - $5.00
Hardback book - $15.00
Book on tape with bag - $12.00
Periodical / Envelope - $3.00 each
Take-Home Tape Player - $10.00

If a book is purposely damaged by a student, then the student will need to pay to replace the book. Depending on the extent of the damage, the privilege of checking out books may be taken away for a certain amount of time. End of the year report cards and checkout privileges can be denied if books are not returned or paid for.

Mission Statement
The mission of Rockbridge Elementary School’s media program is to ensure that all students and staff become effective users of ideas and information. This will be accomplished by implementing the following strategies as stated in Information Power, Building Partnerships for Learning (American Association of School Librarians and Association of Educational Communications and Technology, Chicago, 1998):
By providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats By providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas By working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students
